Former Madison County Superintendent Dies

A long-time Madison County educator has died.

Glenn R. Marshall began working in Madison County Schools as a teacher at Madison Central High School in 1967.

He served as superintendent from 1998 to 2001. Marshall remained on staff as assistant superintendent from 2001 until his death.
Among Marshall's accomplishments as superintendent included opening Kirksville Elementary school and opening Shannon Johnson Elementary School.

Marshall also helped oversee more than $40 million in construction and renovation projects, including renovation at Madison Middle School.
