A soldier, who's the son of Scott County Basketball Coach Billy Hicks, is in critical condition after a crash in Mercer County.

State police say Tyler Hicks crashed Tuesday night on the Bluegrass Parkway.

Police say he was driving back to Fort Knox.

He was wearing a seat belt.

Hicks played for his dad at Scott County.

The team reached the Final Four of the Boys' Sweet 16 in 2004.
