A former Bath County teacher and one of his former students were in court Friday to face drug charges.

60-year-old Darrel Colburn and 29-year-old Bradley Barnett both pleaded not guilty to drug trafficking charges in Fleming County.

Investigators say the ex-teacher Colburn had been giving drugs like oxycodone and methadone to Barnett which he then planned to sell.

Barnett is in the Mason County Detention Center.

Colburn is not in jail but is required to enter drug court.

Both men are due back in court on April 20th.
