Former Bat Cat Alex Meyer took to the mound to represent the Washington Nationals in the 2012 MLB Futures Game tonight.

Meyer recorded two outs, including a blistering 99 mph fastball that got White Sox third baseman Carlos Sanchez swinging.

Meyer became the third UK product to play in the game and the second pitcher to take to the mound.

The ex-cat plays for the South Atlantic League Hagerstown Suns.  In 17 starts he's gone 6-4 in the win column.
