With injury after injury decimating the UK football team, a ton of freshmen have gotten early opportunities to play this season.

Patrick Towles was back at practice today moving around despite having his ankle heavily taped and in an air cast.

Offensive coordinator Randy Sanders said Towles is still rusty and not a definite go for Saturday's game at Missouri.

Jalen Whitlow, a fellow freshman, will be slated to start behind center.

On the defensive side of the ball, freshmen linebackers Khalid Henderson and Pancho Thomas, who expected to play early on in their UK careers, have seen a ton of game time this season.

Game time they didn't necessarily anticipate on getting this early.

Check out the video to hear from Henderson and Thomas on playing during their first year in Lexington.
