Flash Flood Watch Until 10 PM: Eastern KY

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 10 PM across eastern Kentucky. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur.
A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 PM along and east of a line connecting Bell, Knox, Clay, Owsley, Breathitt, Magoffin, Johnson and Lawrence Counties, east to Virginia and West Virginia.

Under mostly cloudy skies, temperatures are hovering in the lower 70s across most of the area.  The heaviest of the thunderstorms will be in far eastern Kentucky, with just some scattered, hit-or-miss thunderstorms closer to I-75.  Low pressure will very slowly drift away to the east over the next few days, so isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain possible, especially east of I-75, again on Wednesday.  By Thursday, they'll be restricted only to extreme eastern Kentucky.  After a couple of days in the 70s, skies will become brighter and we'll warm into the 80s on Thursday and Friday, and all the way into the lower 90s on Saturday and Sunday.  Memorial Day weekend will bring the hottest weather we've had since last summer.  Friday and Saturday will be dry, region-wide, before some isolated thunderstorms creep back into the forecast late on Sunday and into Memorial Day Monday.
