Flash Flood Watch For The 4th of July

Flash Flood Watch For The 4th of July

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for all of the ABC 36 viewing area tonight through Friday morning. A soaking rain is expected for Independence Day, with isolated areas possibly picking up over three inches of rain.
Midnight Update:  The latest weather models have been trending more to the west with the heavier rain on Thursday.  However, it still looks like we'll have plenty of rain moving all across Kentucky for the 4th of July.  The challenge is pinpointing the exact location of the heaviest rainfall; yet right now that looks to be between I-75 and I-65 in Southern Kentucky.  Areas like Lake Cumberland may pick up over three inches possibly.
