A forest-wide order was issued Tuesday that prohibits possession, discharging or using any kind of firework or other pyrotechnic device in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Acting Forest Supervisor Bill Lorenz on Tuesday issued a forest-wide order that prohibits possession, discharging or using any kind of firework or other pyrotechnic device in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

The order extends the prohibition of fireworks to all national forest lands with the Daniel Boone, including the general forest area.

Fireworks were never permitted in developed campgrounds or other recreation areas.
