Lexington had a fireworks ban earlier in the summer due to the drought, but what if it was permanent?
The Urban County Council's Public Safety Committee voted Tuesday to ban class two or three fireworks in Lexington. That means anything that 'shoots' into the air, like a bottle rocket, would be banned.
The proposed ban now heads to the City Urban Council for approval.
