A burning car that was called in at just before 6 Thursday morning is being called "suspicious" by Lexington firefighters.

Fire crews said the car was sitting in a driveway next to a home on Chiles Road. Given that it was parked so close, there was some concern the fire could spread to the house.

Firefighters were able to control the flames, so the house was not damaged.

Investigators said the fire didn't appear to start in the car's engine, making it suspicious.

No one was hurt.
