Fire Investigators Ask For Public's Help

Investigators are asking for help in finding the person or persons involved in a string of recent arsons.
The Lexington Fire Department and fire investigators from several counties held a press conference to address the recent arsons in the region Thursday morning.

Investigators from Lexington and Lincoln and Jessamine Counties are asking the public's help in finding the suspect or suspects responsible for a string of arsons that happened in December and January.

"We had four fires of suspicious nature, which resulted in half a million dollars--probably a little more than that--in property damage alone. Not to mention we almost...we could have had four lives taken down with one of the residences that burned all the way to the ground," said Officer Kevin Grimes of the Nicholasville Police Department.

If you have any information on any of these fires, you are asked to call 1-800-27-ARSON. You can remain anonymous, and a $1000 reward is being offered for any information leading up to an arrest.
