Fire has destroyed a building at a Nicholasville golf course.

It happened around 2 a.m. at Planters Row Golf Links. That’s off Lexington Road.

Officials say someone spotted the fire from the road. When emergency crews arrived, a maintenance building was fully engulfed in flames.

We’re told the building is a total loss.

Officials don’t know what started the fire, but say overnight rain probably kept it from spreading.
