A fire destroyed a trailer in Clark County late Sunday night and firefighters say it was the third fire in just three days at the home.

It happened just before 11:45 p.m. at a home on Dogwood Lane in Winchester.

Firefighters said when they arrived, they saw flames shooting out the back of the trailer.

We’re told the fire was put out quickly, but the trailer is considered a total loss.

Officials said the two previous fires appeared to be electrical and crews had cut the power to the trailer.

Since no power was going to the trailer, crews said they aren’t sure what started Sunday night’s fire.

The family had been displaced by one of the earlier fires and had been sent to a hotel, courtesy of the Red Cross. Therefore, they were not home at the time of the fire.

Two kittens, however, were inside. Firefighters gave first aid to the two pets. One appeared to be fine but the other had more serious injuries.

Fire investigators will now be taking a look at the scene to try to determine a cause.
