Tom Brennan has the first spot in line at Best Buy on Nicholasville Road in Lexington. It’s a spot he’s had for three years in a row.
“Usually we have some good comradery with the some of the folks out here,” Brennan said. “Granted there's not a lot of folks out here right now.”
Brennan said usually there are dozens of people out there with him the day before Thanksgiving.
“I think the weather has chased a few people off,” he said.
Lincoln Skaggs, Best Buy Assistant Store Manager, said they expect around 10,000 people on Black Friday.
“It is the single busiest day of the year,” Skaggs said. “The single biggest day of the year in terms of customers that come in. So it is pretty huge for us.”
Skaggs expects people to line up all around the building.
Best Buy’s doors open at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
