Feed Store Collecting Donations For Horses Injured In Oklahoma Tornado

A feed store in Versailles is collecting donations for horses that were injured in the Moore, Oklahoma tornado in May.
Since May, people across the nation have been collecting donations to help the people affected by the Moore, Oklahoma tornado.

A company in Versailles is working to help the city's other residents, horses. Woodford Feed Company said there is a large need to help the animals who were hurt in the storm, and are now homeless.

"It is like having a Keeneland full of horses that you don't know who they belong to, and so these horses are going to need significant medical care for quite a while," said Debby Prewitt, with the Woodford Feed Company.

The company said one truck of feed has already been sent out to Moore. There is no end date for donations, and Woodford Feed Co. said it will continue sending out donations as they come in.

For more information on how to donate you can call Woodford Feed Co. at 859-873-4811.
