Fayette County Detention Center officials said inmate DeMarcus Dakarr Simpson, 22, failed to return to jail Tuesday evening after receiving a court ordered funeral pass.
Jail officials said Simpson was charged with Violating Condition of Release, Traffic in Controlled Substance, Possession of a Handgun by a Felon and being a Persistent Felon.
A warrant of Escape 2nd Degree has been issued for Simpson.
He is 5'6", 200-pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
