Fayette County Expecting Big Voter Turnout Tuesday

The Fayette County Clerk expects around 73% of voters to turn out at the polls Tuesday.
Fayette County officials expect a big turnout on Election Day.

County Clerk Don Blevins said more than 3,000 of the 2,000 requested absentee ballots had been returned to them as of Monday morning. Blevins said the presidential election always draws in more voters, and expects closed to 73% of voters to be at the polls on Tuesday. With the amount of people, Blevins said there are a few things people need to think about before going to vote. He said everyone should expect to wait, although they have placed extra voting booths he expects that there will still be a delay. He also suggested that everyone know who they are voting for before they get into the booth. He said that will help everyone with time.

The polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and remain open until 6 p.m. Tuesday. For a full list of polling locations you can visit the County Clerk's website at fayettecountyclerk.com.
