Richie Farmer's federal trial on charges of misappropriating government resources when he was agriculture commissioner has been moved to this fall.

The trial was originally set for July, but Farmer argued that wasn't enough time to prepare, and wanted the trial pushed back to February. A federal judge agreed to delay the trial, but only until October 22,2013.

Farmer pleaded not guilty to the misappropriating funds charges in April, and will be free until his trial, which is expected to last about three weeks.
