The National Football League replacement referees have come under scrutiny following a controversial touchdown call in the the 'Monday Night Football Game' between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.

Many fans across the nation, including here in the central Kentucky say these referees are hurting the integrity of the game and say it's time the NFL and referee's union reach a deal right away.

Scott County Judge Executive George Lusby used to referee every level of football from pee-wee's to the Arena League. He says these referees are doing a commendable job and just have to get used to the speed of the NFL game.

On Tuesday the NFL upheld the ruling in Monday night's game that the play was a touchdown.

Media sources say the NFL and referee's union are still negotiating in New York, but have not made an progress in the talks for days.
