Families picked up toys on Tuesday from the 'Toys for Tots' program at The Salvation Army's Lexington Christmas Center on South Broadway.

The U.S. Marines helped gather the toys, which were donated by the community.

Volunteers helped hand out the gifts.

They'll be back Wednesday for the second day of distribution.

Families had to preregister for the program.
