It was a day for firefighters, friends, and family from across the state to remember fallen comrades.

The 13th annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service was held in Frankfort Wednesday.

The event honors Kentucky firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty.

While service paid tribute to more than 200 emergency workers killed in the line of duty, families also celebrated the fact that there were no new names to add to the list this year.
