Mother nature blessed the crowds at Keeneland.  A warm and sunny day set the backdrop for 10 races.

"This is, could it be any more perfect?  I'm sure all the race people are all ecstatically happy about this wonderful weather," said Pat Piper, from Indianapolis, IN.

The gates opened up at 11 AM, and people came dressed in their best.  Some new,

"This is my first time at Keeneland," said Danielle Chesney, a UK Sophomore.

"I have no clue what to expect.  I'm actually really excited," said Danielle Morrison from Los Angeles, CA.

Others are a bit more experienced.

"Well let's see, I'm about 80.  I've been coming out about 30 years anyway.  I'm gonna be out here 3, or 4 days a week probably," said Stanley Stinnett, from Nicholasville.

One of the biggest races of the meet is Saturday, the Grade-1 $750,000 Shadwell Turf Mile.

For the Fall Meet, more than $4-Million will be given to race winners.  If you haven't had a chance to make it out yet, you've got until October 27th to get to the track.  Races take place Wednesday-Sunday.
