A leader of Kentucky's theater community has lost her battle with breast cancer.

Holly Henson performed on her father's stage as a child at the Pioneer Playhouse that he founded in Danville.

She went on to become the executive artistic director there.

Holly appeared in films while living in Los Angeles for a number of years, and even traveled America doing stand-up routines at comedy clubs for awhile.

Holly was 51.
