Elderly Woman Dead, Husband in Jail

Lexington Police are investigating the death of an elderly woman.

Police say, Elizabeth Blevins, 85, was shot and killed around 2:30 Saturday afternoon inside her home on Summerville Drive.

Her husband, John Blevins, 88, is in the Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center charged with her murder. 

According to the Fayette County Coroner, John Blevins may suffer from dementia.
