Some say the scene at a Sports Card Show in Richmond may be a sign that the economy is taking some steps in the right direction.

More than a hundred collectors from as far away as Chattanooga were joined by major leaguers Willie Blair, Ron Oester, and Jake Oester at the quarterly event.

But organizers say that kind of turnout hasn't been too common in recent years though. They say instead collecting cards was put on the back burner for many years.

As many collectors are reaching a time in their lives where they want to start reliving their childhood, organizers say they start getting back into sports cards.

Also, there’s been a renewed interest in Cincinnati cards after their recent playoff appearance.
