Eastern Kentucky University Hosts Special Olympics This Weekend

More than 1,300 Special Olympics athletes and 600 volunteers will be on Eastern Kentucky University's campus this weekend for the 2013 Special Olympics Kentucky State Summer Games.

Fridays events include the torch run, opening ceremonies, and a a handful of competitions.

The majority of the events and awards ceremonies will be held Saturday.

This is the 19th consecutive year Eastern Kentucky University has hosted the Summer Games.
