Police say Abigail Morguelan went off the road, and hit a tree. Police are investigating why. Morguelan suffered life threatening injuries. Her dad now expects her to live.
An East Jessamine High School senior suffered life threatening injuries in a car crash.

Police say Abigail Morguelan went off of Spears road, and hit a tree.  Her day says he expects her to live, but he told us doctors are still assessing the extent of Abby's injuries.

Jessamine County's Superintendent says Morguelan was on her way to school.

Spears Rd. is very narrow.  A man who lives on it says he's witnessed three other accidents.

"There's no room for error, none.  And if you've got a big semi coming at you with huge dozers, and if you've got a truck, or medium sized car you're white knuckling it the whole time," said Jerry Cinnamon, who lives on Spears Rd.

Police don't know what caused Morguelan to go off the road.  A reconstruction unit is investigating.
