EKU Issues Public Safety Alert Following Armed Robbery Near Campus

Eastern Kentucky University issued a public safety alert Thursday night after a business was robbed near campus.

EKU reported that Richmond Police were investigating an armed robbery at Babylon Market, 298 S. Second Street.

EKU reported that a man carrying a black pistol held up the business and took off running toward Wellington Avenue.

EKU officials said the suspect was described as a white male, late 30's, with some grey facial hair. 

The suspect was reportedly wearing a grey toboggan cap, a hunter green hoodie and black gloves.
