EKU: Does A Championship Matter?

On Monday, EKU was picked by the OVC coaches and sports information directors to win the conference crown.

Colonels head coach Dean Hood though, not as excited as you may think.

And for good reason.  Since his arrival, the preseason favorite has never won the title.

So just how important is being picked number one before a snap?  Or does a championship even matter at all?
