EKU Celebrates NCAA Selection

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s basketball team will face Kansas University in the NCAA Tournament on Friday at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

 

The Colonels (24-9), making their eighth NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2007, are the No. 15 seed in the South Region.  Kansas (24-9) is the No. 2 seed.

 

Tickets are available at the EKU Athletics Ticket office.  Tickets are $86 or $66 per session and can be purchased by phone (859-622-5108), by fax with the attached form (859-622-5108), or in person at the ticket office located in room 105 of Alumni Coliseum.  All orders must be received by 6 p.m. on Monday, March 17.  The ticket office will open at 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. on Monday.

 

The winner of the Eastern Kentucky/Kansas game will play the winner of No. 7 seed New Mexico/No. 10 Stanford on Sunday in St. Louis.

 

Eastern defeated No. 1 seed Belmont, 79-73, on March 8 in Nashville to win the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
