EKU: 100% Tobacco-Free

Eastern Kentucky University joins the five other Universities that are completely tobacco-free. Students at EKU are having a hard time dealing with the changes.
The new tobacco-free policy officially kicked off June 1st.

EKU's president, Michael Benson said this is the smart and right thing to do.

Nationwide, 1,343 colleges are 100% smoke-free.

Of these, 925 are 100% tobacco-free.

In Kentucky, EKU joins five out of eight universities that are completely tobacco-free.

Dakota Rousey, an EKU student said he will have to try and stop smoking.

"I guess I'll just try and stop, and if I can't, I guess I'll have to make sure I have a bit extra time in between classes and cut off campus and have a smoke break," said Rousey.
