A Flood Warning is in effect for Whitley County, where the Cumberland River will crest above flood stage.

Flood Advisories continue in Estill and Lee Counties for the Kentucky River, in Powell County for the Red River, and in Knox County for the Cumberland River, as water continues to run high.

So far, the National Weather Service has confirmed EF-3 tornado damage in Menifee, Morgan and Magoffin Counties, and they have completed a survey of the fatal EF-2 tornado that struck Laurel County.  Storm surveys will continue.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows around 28 degrees.  Clouds will thicken on Sunday as an Alberta Clipper dives toward Kentucky from the southern plains of Canada.  Highs on Sunday will peak near 41 degrees.  After a dry start, look for a light mix of rain and snow to arrive late in the day and into the evening hours.  After dark, any light rain will change over to light snow, and a dusting to an inch is expected in the grass across most of central Kentucky, with 1" to 2" across most of eastern Kentucky by Monday morning.  Higher elevations near the Virginia state line could receive 2" to 4" by the time the final snowflakes exit to the east on Monday morning.  After an unseasonably cold start to the week, high pressure will bring sunshine back to the forecast for Tuesday, and temperatures will recover back into the more seasonable 50s.  Wednesday will be even milder, with highs in the lower 60s under partly sunny skies.  Scattered showers and thunderstorms will accompany mild, humid air on Thursday and Friday, before another cooldown will bring a chance for a few snowflakes on a chillier Saturday, next weekend.
