Violent storms left a path of damage when they rolled through Elizabethtown Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service confirms an EF-2 tornado touched down in Hardin County. A storm survey team is also going to the Hodgenville area. Preliminary information shows that the tornado was two miles long with a maximum width of 250 yards. Winds were estimated at 120 to 125 MPH.

Debris was scattered throughout a field off Hodgenville Road or Highway 210 in Hardin County.

It's the same storm system that triggered tornado warnings Wednesday for some Central Kentucky counties.

Emergency management says Harry Owen Trucking was demolished but all employees were able to get out of the building.

There were also reports of structural damage to a shopping center east of Hodgenville.
