A dump truck traveling inbound on Newtown Pike towards Iron Works overturned Wednesday morning.

Police said a vehicle approaching the dump truck was too close to the center lane marker.

When the truck moved over to avoid the on-coming vehicle the roadway broke away, causing the driver to lose control and flip.

Police said the truck was carrying dirt that spilled all over the road.

Both lanes of Newtown Pike will be closed for three to four hours for cleanup.

The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
