Very pleasant weather will accompany high pressure across the northern half of the area, including the Bluegrass Region today. Meanwhile, a slow-moving cold front will drift south, through southern Kentucky, eventually into Tennessee. We'll see more sunshine than clouds and a high of 76° today. The next three days will feature isolated thunderstorms near the Tennessee and Virginia state lines, closer to the nearly stationary front. Central Kentucky should remain dry through Saturday. A warming trend will bring us into the lower to middle 80s for Friday through Monday. Isolated thunderstorms will return to the forecast for central Kentucky during the second half of the weekend. Thunderstorm chances will increase during the early to middle part of next week as a disturbance crosses the area on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain at or slightly above average next week.
