Drought Relief Arrives Later Today

Drought Relief Arrives Later Today

Widespread showers and thunderstorms will bring drought relief over the next few days. Plenty of cloud cover will keep us cooler.
Moisture is surging north as a slow-moving front wavers into Kentucky from Tennessee.  Showers will slide into southern Kentucky this morning, with scattered showers and thunderstorms becoming likely this afternoon in the Bluegrass Region.  Highs will be near 84° under the thicker clouds.  The next four or five days will bring significant drought relief, with many showers and thunderstorms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Active weather will continue into the early and middle part of next week as the front lingers nearby.  Skies will eventually trend brighter, but spotty afternoon thunderstorms will still be possible through Wednesday.  Highs will be in the 80s through the entire 7-day forecast.
