According to Lexington police, the driver of a silver Ford pickup was exiting onto westbound I-64 from I-75 when they hit an embankment Monday afternoon.

Officers said the impact caused the truck to travel down a hill before hitting a guardrail.

Had it not been for the guardrail, police said the truck would have collided with traffic on I-64.

The driver appeared to be alert after the accident, and was taken to the hospital for potential injuries.
