Shortly before 7:30 Thursday morning, Danville police said they responded with other emergency crews to an accident on Lebanon Road that involved a truck and a bicyclist.

They said 28-year-old Zachary Vanderteems was driving along in his 2000 Chevrolet pickup, when his right side mirror clipped 53-year-old bicyclist Ken West.

Vanderteems and West were reportedly headed in opposite directions when the accident happened.

Officers said West received some minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
