Driver Hurt After Georgetown Crash

A man is in serious condition after a crash in Georgetown.
A man is in serious condition Wednesday after a car crash in Georgetown.

The sheriff's office says a driver ran a red light and hit a truck carrying telephone poles. The crash was at the intersection of the Bypass and Paynes Depot Road, around 10:20 a.m. Police say the car ended up partially wedged under the truck.

The driver, 48-year-old William Herzner of Owenton, ended up at UK Hospital. As last check, he was in serious condition. The truck driver wasn't hurt.
