Lexington Police are searching for a driver who hit the Waffle House on Walden Drive early Monday morning, then took off.

It happened just after 1 a.m.

Police said the driver was trying to back up just after 1 a.m. when he hit the restaurant’s wall, causing very minor damage.

Employees were able to write down the license plate number but police said the car was a rental so they still don’t know the identity of the driver.

No one was hurt.
