State Police said the cold is to blame for the death of an Estill County woman.

According to troopers, Vickie Arvin, 55, was driving her vehicle when it slid off of Turkey Pen Road and became stuck.

The coroner said when Arvin got out of the vehicle, she fell into a creek.

Arvin managed to get out of the water and back to the passenger side of her car.

That's where investigators said she passed away.
