Donations Needed For Nicholasville Fire Victims

Donations are flooding into Nicholasville for victims of an apartment fire last week, but organizers said there are still a few things they need.

Donations are flooding into Nicholasville for victims of an apartment fire last week, but organizers said there are still a few things they need.

The Habitat for Humanity said about 50 people were impacted when 12 units were burned on Thursday. Some of those people lost everything the owned.

Several local organizations are helping the families get back on their feet by providing those families with new clothes and home items.

As of now, Habitat for Humanity said they have between eight and ten thousand pieces of clothing already. However, he said they are in desperate need of several other items.

Those items include: food, bottled water, health and beauty supplies and furniture.

You can drop off all donations at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore marked R.O.C.K. at 317 N. Main Street in downtown Nicholasville.

You can also made a monetary donation at the Habitat Restore. Checks are payable to R.O.C.K.
