Donation To Bring More Beauty To Lexington

Lowes donated $20,000 to the "Keep Lexington Beautiful Campaign" to help clean up a part of Richmond Road.
One of Lexington's busiest roads is about to get a facelift thanks to a donation.

Lowe's Home Improvement Store donated $20,000 dollars to the "Keeping Lexington Beautiful" campaign. The campaign said the money will go toward improvements to the Fontaine and Lakeshore Drive area on Richmond Road. It said it plans to remove bush Honeysuckle that has overgrown a creek, pickup litter and debris from the creek, and plant new flowers that are native to Kentucky.

The Lowe’s "Keep America Beautiful Community Improvement" grant of $20,000 is one of 120 merit-based grants awarded nationally to support grassroots community improvement projects.
