Doing Your Taxes Can Help Feed Hungry KY Families

God's Pantry Food Bank and other Kentucky food pantries are encouraging Kentuckians to check a box on their state tax return to help feed families in need.

When you check the "Farms to Food Banks Trust Fund" box on your return, it donates part of your refund to the Kentucky Association of Food Banks.

GPFB says this funding is especially needed as they have recently opened two new facilities; one in London and another on Cambridge Drive in Lexington.

The new Lexington location - GPFB's fourth in the city - opened this month and will serve Fayette County residents at risk of hunger. The pantry will offer evening hours to help meet the needs of working families.

The London facility opened in December, increasing GPFB's distribution in Bell, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Leslie, McCreary, Pulaski, Rockcastle, and Whitley Counties.
