Jessamine County Animal Care and Control is asking for your help.

It says someone found a chihuahua mix in a dumpster at the Helmsdale Apartments on Wichita Drive around 4:30 Wednesday.

The dog was hurt, and had some puncture wounds that appear to be infected.

Animal Control hopes someone out there knows something about the dog.

If you do, you're asked to call Jessamine County Animal Control at (859) 881-0821.
