Detective Testifies In Roe Trial Monday

Lexington Detective Chris Schoonover, who interview Marty Roe for hours after his arrest, testified in court Monday.
Week two of the Marty Roe murder trial began Monday morning. He is accused a killing Dr. Martha Post in 2011.

Lexington Detective Chris Schoonover, who interview Roe for hours after he was arrested in Ohio, testified in court Monday.

Schoonover said Roe stated information that would be unknown to a person unless they were involved in the shooting, such as the location of the murder.

The detective also testified that Roe changed his story of where he was at the time of the murder.

According to Schoonover, Roe stated pawning his gun years before the murder and that he no longer owned one.

Later, when police searched Roe's van, a pistol and bullets were found inside.
