Designers Transform CastlePost For Salvation Army Fundraiser

The CastlePost in Woodford County is a spectacular sight anytime.

But it's even more spectacular now as workers put up Christmas decorations.

Local designers started to transform the landmark Wednesday as part of a Salvation Army fundraiser that kicks off this weekend.

The community is invited to take a tour of the landmark CastlePost to help the Army.

Major Debra Ashcraft is with the non-profit group and says, "Designers are decking the halls at the CastlePost, which is already lovely, but we have more Christmas decorations than ever before. So people are really going to enjoy seeing the CastlePost, seeing all the Christmas designs and knowing that they have helped homeless women and children right here in our community."

Tickets for the tour are $35 dollars Saturday and Sunday, and $25 dollars Monday.

Organizers recommend buying tickets in advance at Whitaker Bank.

You can also purchase tickets during tour times at the Kings Way Assembly Church across the street from the Castle.

The Salvation Army says they raised $30,000 with the event last year.
