Another slightly less famous race brought together a field of human runners here in Lexington.

The 5k and 10k courses of the annual Derby Day Stakes wound through Coldstream Research Park, giving racers a little taste of Kentucky's beauty.

Racing through the Bluegrass brought Boston to minds of most runners on Saturday.

Race proceeds will be going to the One Fund Boston to help victims of the marathon bombing.

Those that took part in the event said the tragedy affected the entire running community regardless of where individuals happen to live.

The celebration after the race included music, dining, and an award presentation.
