Deputies Searching For Powell County Inmate Escapee

Police and deputies searched Monday for a Powell County inmate who reportedly escaped.

The Sheriff's Office said Joshua Sparks disappeared around 7:30 a.m. while on a supervised work detail at the Powell County Transfer Station.

Deputies said Sparks was in jail for theft.

The Sheriff's Office said Sparks was approximately six-foot-tall, 245 lbs, with short brown hair and green eyes.

Deputies asked anyone who had seen Joshua Sparks to contact the Powell County Dispatch Center at 606-663-4116 or 911 immediately.
