A traffic stop Wednesday afternoon turned into a chase on foot, according to Madison County deputies.

Deputies said they were trying to pull over a white car near Madison Avenue and Irvine Street in Richmond, but the driver refused to stop.

According to officers, 29-year-old Bryan Robinson led them on a chase that finally ended in the Union City and Red House Road area.

That's when they said Robinson got out of the car and ran off.

Richmond police helped deputies in the hunt for Robinson for several hours, but were not able to track him down.

He is still on the loose.

Deputies said Robinson was wanted for violating his parole. He is also wanted for other outstanding warrants.

During Wednesday's chase, Glen Marshall Elementary and B. Michael Caudill Middle school were put under lockdown for around half an hour, as Robinson was spotted near the area.

According to school officials, the lockdown was lifted just before 3 pm.
